2016 is almost “in the books.” Hank Garner had the idea of doing a Year In Review episode with me and then splitting it up between the two channels. This is Part 2 of that interview. You can find Part 1 over at Hank’s website.
In Part 1 Hank introduces his listeners to who I am, how/why I started The Leighgendarium and the podcast, how we prepare for our shows, we tackle Two Truths & A Lie, and we talk about what podcasting has allowed me to accomplish.
In Part 2 we talk about our favorite books, audiobooks, and music albums from 2016.
Who is Hank Garner?
Hank is the author of Bloom, Mulligan, The Witching Hour, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Writer’s Block, and has contributed to several anthologies. He also hosts a weekly podcast called Author Stories where he interviews successful authors each week about writing and the creative process.
Hank is one of the indie authors I first discovered when I learned about indie publishing. His books are some of my favorites, but Mulligan is his best, in my opinion. There are also only a few podcasts that I listen to on a regular basis, and the Author Stories Podcast is one of them.
This was a record year for his Author Stories Podcast. In 2016 he interviewed some of the biggest names in traditional publishing: Brandon Sanderson, Brent Weeks, Anne Rice, Mike Carey, Craig Johnson, and many, many more.
2016 was an amazing year for The Leighgendarium, too. This year we added 3 reviewers for the blog: Chris Fried, Michael David Anderson, and Carol Kean. In June we stopped doing 10 Questions With… but that was so we could bring you the 30-Minute Author Interviews podcast. I hope that you have enjoyed the podcasts so far, and I look forward to the authors I get to interview in 2017.
Thank you for your constant support this year, and here is to another great year to come!
