Episode 47 | Michael Kramer

Michael Kramer was born and raised in Minnesota—hometown Lucan (LOO CAN) pop. 250, –13 miles from Plum Crick of Little House on the Prairie fame.

He is a graduate of St. Mary’s College—now St. Mary’s University  in Minnesota—with  BA in Communication Arts. Kramer received an MFA from The Catholic University of America in Directing (theatre).

He has been residing in the Washington, DC area since 1981.

Kramer has been a theatre artist (actor, director, stage manager, stage carpenter, sound designer, etc) for 30+ years.

He started narrating audiobooks in 1991.  He doesn’t keep track of the number books,  but it’s in the hundreds. He has received multiple awards—Audiofile Magazine Earphones Awards, Publishers Weekly Listen-Up Award, Voice Arts Award nominee, Audie nominee and recipient of 2015 Audie Award.

Kramer has been married to Jennifer Mendenhall (aka the fabulously talented Kate Reading) since 1992. They have two children—Henry and Vivian.
